Mayo booked a place in the semi-final of the Nicky Rackard Cup when they followed up their win over Tyrone with an impressive 14-point victory over Armagh at James Stephens Park on Saturday.

The westerners laid the foundations for a fine victory which saw the second appearance this season of dual star Keith Higgins, when they led by 0-11 to 1-3 at half-time in Ballina - Kenny Feeney, Higgins, and Sean Regan putting up some fine scores, the latter having to be replaced when he was injured just before the break.
