James Horan will hand three players their Championship debuts when they take on New York at Gaelic Park on Sunday (7.15pm Irish time).

James McCormack, Matthew Ruane and Ardagh’s James Carr will make their first Connacht championship appearances on the other side of the Atlantic.

The first XV shows two changes from the side that toppled the Kingdom in the league final.

McCormack and Evan Regan replace Donie Vaughan and Diarmuid O'Connor with the latter reportedly suffering from a facial injury.

With O'Connor sidelined, Paddy Durcan captains the Mayo men.

Mayo are red hot favourites to emerge victorious and face the winners of the clash between Roscommon and Leitrim in a Connacht semi-final on May 25.

Mayo team v New York: Robert Hennelly; Chris Barrett, Brendan Harrison, Keith Higgins; Patrick Durcan (captain) Lee Keegan, James McCormack; Matthew Ruane, Aidan O’Shea; Evan Regan, Jason Doherty, Fergal Boland; Kevin McLoughlin, Darren Coen, James Carr
