Mayo's hopes of securing a 22nd consecutive season in Division 1 have been dealt a blow with the news that Leeroy Keegan and Cillian O'Connor are set to miss Sunday's crucial relegation clash with Donegal.

Keegan suffered a suspected dislocated shoulder while O'Connor damaged a hamstring in the heavy defeat to Tyrone with MRI scans this week set to confirm the extent of both injuries.

Manager Stephen Rochford will also be without Donie Vaughan and Brendan Harrison while there is no further indication as to Keith Higgins' plans for the year after he lined out for the county's hurlers last weekend.

Mayo need a draw on Sunday to maintain their top-flight status and there is some good news for the county with the news that All-Star Chris Barrett played a club match last weekend.

Elsewhere, the GAA has confirmed that some of the outstanding Round 6 NFL matches won't be played if they are 'dead rubbers' after this weekend's action.
