Louth GAA have confirmed former Fermanagh manager Pete McGrath as their new senior football manager following a county board meeting in Darver on Wednesday evening.

McGrath replaces Colin Kelly as manager after the former Louth forward stepped down from his role with the senior team following The Wee County's disappointing first round qualifier defeat to Longford during the summer.

McGrath has signed on to a two-year term after stepping down from the Fermanagh post after some Erne players made it known they would refuse to play for him in 2018.
