Louth pair's Twitter fury at referee display

LOUTH duo Darren Clarke and Derek Crilly took to Twitter to express their anger at the performance of referee Derek Fahy during their qualifier defeat to Westmeath.

Clarke, who was sent off just before half-time after Mark Brennan had also seen red, tweeted: "Gutted! Same Ref sent off 5 Louth players in 3 games, #GAA needs to take a look into their performances...with 14 we wud of won!"

Crilly also voiced his displeasure on the social media site saying: "Referees performance was disgraceful."

However, their Wee County team-mate Ray Finnegan refused to criticise the Longford official. "I suppose every referee sees it his own way," he said. "Decisions are made; you just have to get on with it. You can't do anything about it on the field."
