Kerry shade possession but hit more wides than points – the All-Ireland Final in numbers Business Desk Business Desk

Dublin were crowned All-Ireland champions for the 25th time with a three-point win over Kerry to continue their recent good run of form in the fixture. Here is the final in numbers


The percentage of possession enjoyed by Kerry on the day. Dublin may have been the better side, but the Kingdom weren't exactly starved of the ball on what was  a wretched day for football.


The number of scoring chances both sides created from play. Eamonn Fitzmaurice will rue the poor shooting, particularly in the first half as chances went a-begging.


Surprisingly perhaps, both sides scored eight points from play. Bryan Sheehan hit Kerry's only placed ball at the death.


Numbers of wides hit by Dublin, two more than their opponents.


Number of turnovers, with Dublin (29) claiming four more than their (25).
