Kerrigan on fire as Derry slay Mary's
Derry 1-17 St Mary's 0-14
AARON KERRIGAN scored 1-7 as Derry secured victory over St Mary's in Owenbeg.
The Claudy forward contributed all but one of his side's scores in the first half.
St Mary's led 0-6 to 0-2 midway through the half thanks to four points (3fs) from Tomas Canavan and points from Brian Hasson and Peter Carragher in response to Kerrigan's brace.
James Kearney started the Derry fightback with a free before Kerrigan took over, scoring 1-4. Mary's trailed by three points at the interval.
They continued to battle but, with Enda Lynn coming on to kick three points, the Oak Leaf men never looked like being caught.
Derry face Tyrone at Healy Park (2.0) in the semi-final on Sunday after losing a coin toss for home advantage.
