Baltinglass bridged a nine-year gap to reclaim the Wicklow football title and consign St Patrick's to a third successive county final defeat. Man of the match Joey Kelly finished the day with seven points in a wonderful display at corner-forward.
St Patrick's started slightly the better than Baltinglass with Eamonn Wolfe also looking especially sharp at corner-forward, but after trading scores Baltinglass took a four-point lead in at half-time.
Baltinglass scored two more points early in the second half through Sinnott and Ian Sheerin to increase the lead to six but Stephen Duffy gave his team a lifeline with a well-taken goal to cut the deficit to three. However, Joey Kelly quickly responded with a long-range free as Baltinglass were content to just stay in front.
Duffy scored a couple of frees but Sheerin and Joey Kelly responded to keep the four-point lead.
Tommy Kelly reduced it to three with five minutes to go only for Kelly and Kevin Murphy to kick the final two scores.
It's only Baltinglass' second championship in 20 years having once been dominant in Wicklow and winning the All-Ireland club championship in 1990.
