Kavanagh sees Ballymore home

James Kavanagh flew all the way from Australia to lead his club to the title on their home pitch yesterday.

Ballymore dominated the opening half and led by 0-9 to 0-4 at the break with William O'Donoghue helping himself to three points as Nobber seemed over-reliant on Brian Farrell.

The Meath men came back after the break and by the 50th minute just a point separated the teams. But there was no way back for Nobber when Alan Farrell saw red and Kavanagh sealed it with a huge free late on.
