Tyrone manager Mickey Harte remains insistent that All Star Philip Jordan remains part of the Tyrone panel and has not retired.
Rumours that the wing-back had quit the inter-county game were rife last week, but stalled when Harte named him on his bench for Sunday's drawn game with Meath.
But Jordan did not train with the county at all last week and did not travel to Navan.
Asked about the Moy man's absence last Sunday, Harte said: "His future is that he will be back with us in due course. He's not there at the moment, but he will be."
That echoed earlier comments by the Tyrone chairman that Jordan had returned to find his form with his club and would rejoin the panel later this summer.
Jordan underwent hip surgery over the winter and only made his competitive comeback against Kildare on the Sunday before last, but it's believed that cameo had convinced him that he no longer had the appetite for the inter-county game.
