Jim Gavin has named nine of the team that started last year's All-Ireland final in his Dublin side to take on Monaghan in the National League tomorrow.

Con O'Callaghan will make his first ever league start after missing the majority of the last two campaigns with club hurling commitments with Cuala, with Ciaran Kilkenny the sole member of the forward line that beat Tyrone in the All-Ireland final to miss out, as he takes an extended break.

Despite initial reports that he might not feature, Footballer of the Year Brian Fenton is named at midfield.

Evan Comerford will get experience in goal in place of captain Stephen Cluxton, while Cuala's Conor Mullally gets the nod at corner back.

The game throws in at 2pm tomorrow afternoon.
