MANAGER James Horan has handed debuts to defenders Kevin Keane and Lee Keegan, while midfielder Danny Geraghty will make his first championship start in the Mayo side to take on Leitrim in Sunday's Connacht SFC semi-final in Castlebar.

Keegan featured from the bench against Cork in last year's All-Ireland quarter-final victory, while Geraghty replaces Jason Gibbons in one of three changes from the side that were beaten by the Rebels in the NFL Division 1 decider.

In the full-forward line Alan Freeman and Jason Doherty replace Conor Mortimer and Michael Conroy, while Andy Moran is positioned at the edge of the square.

Meanwhile, Leitrim joint-managers Barney Breen and George Dugdale have made three changes from the side that beat London last time out.

Daniel Beck comes in for James Glancy at corner-back, ex-Longford player Enda Williams starts at No 6 and Fabian McMorrow will be at full-back in place of Ciaran Egan. Shane Moran comes into midfield at the expense of Daniel Lowe, as Leitrim search for only their fourth championship win over Mayo.

In other news, Justin McMahon's chances of playing against Donegal in the Ulster SFC semi-final on Saturday week are fading. McMahon has not been able to train fully since a hamstring injury forced him out of the quarter-final win over Armagh at half-time.

Assistant manager Tony Donnelly admitted last night that McMahon is unlikely to play in Clones. "He would be more unlikely (to play) than likely at this stage," said Donnelly.
