Jackies set on revenge
Kerry v Galway, Castleisland Desmonds, 1.0, (M J O' Keeffe)
Galway flattered to deceive last term and Kerry has struggled for consistency in recent years. Both sides will do well to avoid relegation in this year's streamlined top flight. Home advantage should enable Kerry to post a result in the win column.
Cork v Dublin, Fermoy GAA, 2.30, (K Delahunty)
A replay of last year's All-Ireland final sees the Jackies seeking early revenge for their September heartache. Cork remain the team to beat but their early league form is notoriously patchy. Dublin have a real opportunity to take an early scalp.
Laois v Mayo, O'Moore Park, 2.0 (D McEnery)
These two teams drew in the corresponding league fixture last season, but Mayo comfortably beat the O'Moore County in the championship qualifiers. Mayo's superior firepower should see them triumph here.
Tyrone v Monaghan, Cardinal MacRory Park, 2.0 (E O Hare)
These two sides have led the way for Ulster over the last three years. Monaghan are the stronger outfit at present as Tyrone are undergoing a rebuilding process. The Farney women should prevail and take the maximum points on offer.
