INTER-COUNTY football teams don’t usually have a current world boxing champion playing at midfield for them. In fact, this has never happened before until Lisa O’Rourke’s talents got the full reveal this summer.

Just under two months ago, O’Rourke went to her first major senior international boxing tournament and came home a world champion at just 20-years-old. Two weeks later, she was back playing for the Roscommon football team and scored three points in their championship win over Kildare.
