An injury-time point from Jimmy Hyland saw Kildare claim a dramatic win over Laois last night.
Hyland pointed in the 62nd minute to settle a tie that burst into life in the second half, as the Lilywhites made it into the last four once more.
In a largely disappointing first half, Kildare opened the scoring in the fifth minute when Jimmy Hyland tapped over a free.
Laois responded with a free from Jake Foster, after he was fouled 30 yards out.
The home side would not score again until the 25th minute, but the Lilies managed just two more points themselves to lead 0-3 to 0-1.
Laois got back on the scoreboard when a slick passing move ended with Aaron Dowling playing in Cathail Dunne, and he made no mistake from the edge of the area to hammer in a goal.
Both teams managed another point apiece, from Sean Moore and Jimmy Hyland, to see Laois lead 1-2 to 0-4 at the break.
The second half was an end-to-end affair, with Kildare retaking the lead thanks to two early points.
Laois reeled them in and eventually went back in front, but a Kevin Callaghan goal turned the game on its head.
The teams were level in injury-time, but Hyland came up with the vital score.
