Hulton goal drives Carlow to first senior 'B' title
Carlow CBS 1-14 Abbey 3-3 Schools SF 'B' All-Ireland Final
Carlow CBS created history when they won their first All-Ireland Colleges Senior Football 'B' title in Croke Park.
A five-point winning margin at the end didn't give a full description of Carlow's dominance, and at one stage they were ahead by 13 points, having led at the break by 1-9 to 1-0.
Colm Hulton got the Carlow goal when fielding a great long pass from Shane O'Neill after they had been hit with an early goal by Shane Neville.
Then Tipperary town side Abbey finally came to life, with Josh Ryan finding the Carlow net and Daire Egan converting a penalty.
But a brilliant Niall Lowry effort from out on the left settled Carlow as they cruised to victory.
