Gleeson keeps Mary's on track

St Mary's College remain on course to claim their first title since 2006, thanks to a Conor Gleeson goal 11 minutes from time that saw off St Colman's in their quarter-final at Tuam Stadium.

A powerful display from John Doran helped the Galway side into a 0-4 to 0-3 interval lead despite playing into a gale. James Shaughnessy drew Colman's level minutes after the restart, but scores from James Casserley and Gleeson's goal put Mary's back in front before Ryan Quirke goaled a late consolation penalty.
