WESTMEATH football captain Kieran Gavin is in a race against time to make the Division 2 league final against Derry in three weeks' time after suffering serious burns in a work accident.
Gavin works with a water treatment company and the accident caused him to miss last weekend's final round of group games.
He tweeted: "Got boiling water to the face in work, hopefully won't have any scars. The burns are healing and hopefully up and about in a week."
The Division 2 final will be the curtain-raiser for the Division 1 final at Croke Park on Sunday, April 28.
And the Division 3 and 4 finals will also take place at HQ a day earlier, with Limerick and Offaly providing the curtain-raiser (at 5.0), for Meath's clash with Monaghan (7.0).
Tullamore is the venue for the Cadbury's All-Ireland U-21 football semi-finals on Saturday week.
Galway meet Kildare (2.0), followed by the clash between the Ulster and Munster champions (3.45), which will be decided by the provinces' respective finals (Cavan v Donegal and Cork v Tipperary) tomorrow night.
Thurles will host hurling's Division 1 semi-finals on Sunday week, with Tipperary and Dublin the opener (2.0), ahead of the mouth-watering rematch between Kilkenny and Galway (3.45). All of these games, including the U-21 semi-finals, will be covered live by TG4.
