A blistering first-half, during which they stormed into a 2-11 to 0-7 interval lead, provided the foundation for 13-man London to overcome Carlow and chalk up a merited win at Netwatch Cullen Park yesterday.

Carlow were completely outplayed in the opening half as the Exiles full-forward line of Rory Mason, Man of the Match Liam Gavaghan and John Daly dominated the home full-back line.

Carlow rallied in the second-half, but lacked the forward thrust to break through. London lost Anthony McDermott and Conor O'Neill to second yellows, while Carlow's Paul Broderick was red-carded in the final minutes.
