The funeral arrangements have been announced for Haulie (Michael) O'Dwyer, son of eight-time All-Ireland-winning Kerry manager Mick O'Dwyer.
Haulie died after a short illness and is one of four of Micko's sons and had been resident in south Kerry.
A funeral notice on RIP.ie said Haulie died “in the presence of his loving family, in the Tralee Palliative Care Unit”.
Mr O’Dwyer will repose in Fitzgerald's Funeral Home, Waterville, this afternoon from 4pm to 8pm before funeral Mass at 11am tomorrow in St Finian's Church, Waterville with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
The funeral notice read: “The death has occurred of Michael (Haulie) O'Dwyer in the presence of his loving family, in the Tralee Palliative Care Unit.
“Late of Killurley West Ballinskelligs and formerly of Waterville County Kerry. Predeceased by his mother Mary Carmel and aunt Noreen Moriarty. Adored and sadly missed by his loving wife Liz, father Michael (Micko) Dwyer, brothers John, Robbie, Karl, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, parents-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended O'Dwyer and O'Shea families, neighbours and friends.
“Family flowers only, please, donations, in lieu, to the Palliative Care Unit Tralee, University Hospital Kerry.”
Haulie is survived by his wife Liz, his father and brothers John, Robbie and Karl.
Robbie is currently manager of Clonmel Commercials, who are back into another Tipperary football final while Karl has been involved with a number of clubs in Kildare in recent years. John has been involved in coaching underage Kerry teams in the past.
