Tomás Ó Sé thinks Kerry manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice could spring a few selection surprises when he names his team to play Mayo in this Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final in Croke Park.

The Kingdom were comprehensive winners against Galway in the last eight three weeks ago, but didn't fire on all cylinders in dispatching the Tribesmen.

Mayo come into this weekend's encounter off the back of destroying Roscommon in their quarter-final replay and Ó Sé thinks Fitzmaurice will alter his starting team from the Galway game in order to better combat Stephen Rochford's side.

"I think Fitzmaurice is cute enough that he will go horses for courses," Ó Sé said on this week's episode of The Punter's Platform, Independent.ie's betting podcast.

"I think Jack Barry will play [instead of Anthony Maher]. David Moran is your number one midfielder at the moment. David Moran has a severe workload.

"When people talk about pace around the middle of the field, people talk about the two midfielders but you need pace from your half backs and you need pace from your half forwards.

"Donnchadh [Walsh] has given such tremendous service to Kerry over the years but in terms of pace, is he the threat that he was? I'm not sure but he will still be the clever man at the end because he has experience.

"I think Killian Young will probably play this weekend as well. I think Fionn Fitzgerald is under a bit of pressure after the last day and I think there will be a couple of changes in the Kerry outfit that lined out against Galway."
