Two Tipperary clubs are awaiting responses from their County Board after farcical pitch conditions led to the cancellation of a senior football relegation play-off at the weekend.

Fethard and Moycarkey-Borris were due to face each other in the battle to avoid the drop in Ballyneale in south Tipperary at the weekend when concerns were raised over the condition of the playing surface.

The referee decided wisely to call the game off and images were quickly shared on social media of the pitch in question.

In the picture below you can just about see the football with the length of the grass.

"Serious questions have to be asked about our County Board! Do club players even matter anymore?" Fethard GAA club posted on their Twitter account afterwards.
