Donaghy makes swift Kerry return to face Dubs

As expected, All-Star full-forward Kieran Donaghy has wasted no time in returning to the Kerry jersey, despite the disappointment of his club Austin Stacks being knocked out in the All-Ireland club semi-final just two weeks ago.

The man whose three appearances changed the course of the All-Ireland football championship last summer is back to lead Kerry in Sunday's mouthwatering Allianz League clash with Dublin.

As expected, All-Star full-forward Kieran Donaghy has wasted no time in returning to the Kerry jersey, despite the disappointment of his club Austin Stacks being knocked out in the All-Ireland club semi-final just two weeks ago.

'Star' returns with new responsibility as he will captain the Kingdom for the first time in Killarney on Sunday.

Anthony Maher will also make his first start of the year as Eamonn Fitzmaurice's side go toe-to-toe with Dublin with Tommy Walsh and Barry John Keane the two players to lose out in the starting line-up.

Many had written Donaghy off last year when he struggled with a series of injuries but when he came off the bench in the All-Ireland semi-final against Mayo, he made a massive difference and was subsequently pivotal in the replay victory and All-Ireland final win.

Kerry (SF v Dublin) - B Kealy; P Kilkenny, M Griffin, F Fitzgerald; J Lyne, J Sherwood, P Murphy; A Maher, D Moran; M Geaney, B Sheehan, J Buckley; S O'Brien, K Donaghy, P Geaney.
