Derry progressed to an Ulster quarter-final meeting with Antrim next week after an extra-time victory over Fermanagh.
Played in atrocious conditions at Celtic Park, the visitors led for most of the game only for the Oak Leafers to reel them in.
Playing with a sizeable wind at their backs Fermanagh led 1-5 to 0-3 with Sean Cassidy scoring the key goal in the 31st minute.
Derry were the better team after the break, and impact sub Alex Doherty drew the sides level with a fine point in the 57th minute, and the scoreboard read 0-9 to 1-6 as normal time elapsed.
The home team had the bit between their teeth in extra-time, with Doherty - who would end up with 0-5 - proving the catalyst before Cormac Murphy's late goal confirmed the Derry victory with a well taken goal in extra-time.
"I can't emphasise enough what these boys have put in over the past four months," said Derry manager Mickey Donnelly. "I think they got their just rewards today.
