Conor Crawley fisted home a priceless late goal as Sean O'Mahony's claimed their first ever county SFC title in Drogheda.

Beaten finalists 12 months ago, the dream looked to be dying again for the Dundalk side when they slipped four points behind midway through the second period.

After a cagey opening half ended at 0-6 apiece, St Mary's seized the initiative in the second. A flowing move carved out a rare goal chance, which wing-forward Mark Fay took with an emphatic finish.

Mary's added points through Darren Clarke and the inspirational Ronan Carroll to open a 1-9 to 0-8 lead.

But O'Mahony's drew on their trademark resilience as Conor Finnegan, Liam Dullaghan and full back Ronan Byrne cut the deficit to a point.

Then, in the final minute, a high ball came back off the crossbar and Crawley made himself the hero.
