Conor Dolan, Glencar-Manorhamilton, scores his side's equalizing point during injury time against Mohill

A controversial free awarded to Glencar/Manorhamilton in injury-time converted by Conor Dolan gave them a draw against the odds in an entertaining game played at sunny Pairc Sean MhicDiarmada, Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday.

Glencar/Manor got off to a great start scoring two points without reply by James Rooney and Adrian Croal in the opening seven minutes.

A Danny Beck point one minute later kick-started the Mohill challenge and they went on to lead 0-5 to 0-2 going into the second quarter.

However, when Adrian Croal intercepted a poor Mohill pass in the 20th minute and racing goalwards with only the goalkeeper to beat, his volley brought Glencar/Manor back into the game.

Mohill replied immediately with a pointed free by Keith Beirne but two further Glencar/Manor points edged them ahead 1-4 to 0-6 at the interval.

However Glencar/Manor staged a comeback with substitute Patrick Loughlin scoring two points from play added to by a pointed free from Conor Dolan in the 59th minute to set up a dramatic climax resulting in Dolan's equalising point to produce the first drawn final since 1996.

The replay date will be decided today.
