Midlands rivals Westmeath and Offaly will do battle once again this Saturday (2.0 in TEG Cusack Park), but Lake County boss Tom Cribbin may be without the services of John Connellan.

The Athlone attacker is believed to have parted ways with the Westmeath squad in the wake of their dour draw with the Faithful on Sunday, where he made an appearance off the bench, replacing Alan Stone in the 48th minute.

Connellan kicked three points and was one of the most influential players on show when they edged out their neighbours 12 months ago and would be a significant loss to their forward division if no longer in the fold.

Elsewhere, Laois will have home advantage for their All-Ireland SHC preliminary round qualifier against Christy Ring Cup champions Carlow, with the game taking place in O'Moore Park (3.30) on Sunday, June 25.

Meanwhile, Roscommon have revealed their starting 15 for their long-awaited championship opener, as they bid to book a repeat of last year's Connacht SFC decider against Galway on July 9.

The Rossies welcome Leitrim to Dr Hyde Park for their last-four clash on Sunday, with manager Kevin McStay handing out three debuts. Goalkeeper Colm Lavin, midfielder Tadhg O'Rourke and wing-forward Brian Stack are all making their championship bow.

The team shows four changes from their final league game against Cavan, with John McManus, Sean Mullooly, Stack and Fintan Cregg coming in for Gary Patterson, Cian Connolly and injured duo Ultan Harney and Cathal Compton.

Roscommon (SFC Leitrim): C Lavin; D Murray, J McManus, N McInerney; S McDermott, S Mullooly, C Devaney; T O'Rourke, E Smith; F Cregg, N Kilroy, B Stack; C Murtagh, D Murtagh, D Smith.
