Colman's too hot for Omagh

St Colman's, Newry 1-16 Omagh CBS 1-12

St Colman's produced a devastating surge either side of half-time to ease through to the semi-finals.

The Newry lads won more comfortably than the scoreline suggests.

Kealan Rice and Dara Noonan helped St Colman's into a 0-4 to 0-2 lead in the opening quarter. Omagh then struck for a goal from Brendan Donaghy, with Ruairi Sludden landing two points.

St Colman's regrouped, with Conal Brown hitting a brace of points before Noonan punched in a goal to leave it 1-8 to 1-5 at the break.

The Newry lads kicked on, surging into an eight-point lead and never looked back. Tempers flared in injury-time with Omagh's Colm O'Neill and St Colman's Conall Gough red-carded.
