Colm Cooper: I could have easily walked away after injury devastation

Dr Crokes man reveals motivation to get back playing in latest AIB GAA club championship ad

Kerry star Colm Cooper has admitted that it would have been easy to walk away from his "devastating" injury last year but believes there is plenty more football in him.

The gifted forward played no part in the Kingdom's All-Ireland success of 2014 after sustaining a cruciate injury while on club duty for Dr Crokes in the All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Castlebar last February.

I the latest ad for the AIB GAA club championship, the 'Gooch' admits he is eagerly looking forward to a return to the pitch.

"I could easily walk away now and say 'yeah I had a great career' and leave it at that," he said. "But there's more to come. That’s the exciting part."
