A FORTUITOUS goal midway through the second half of a pulsating match in Knocknagree set Colaiste Chriost Ri on their way to the provincial decider.

Despite bossing much of the opening half, the Cork team, for whom Luke Connolly was outstanding, found themselves trailing 1-7 to 0-7 with 20 minutes left.

But the game changed four minutes later when Colaiste Chriost Ri wing-forward Eoghan Finn set off on a solo run and despite losing control of the ball managed to flick past Peter Nammock in goal.
