Kerry minors clinically disposed of Waterford by 22 points in Dungarvan to progress to the Munster MFC semi final against Clare.

Peter Keane's focused outfit blitzed the Déise in the opening quarter and finished the hour with 2-17 from open play. Ferdia O'Brien banged in goals either side of the break for the All-Ireland champions who had ten different scorers.

David Clifford started the massacre with a point after only 12 seconds. Kerry had five points banked when Waterford mounted their first attack but Dylan Guiry's penalty shout was waved away.

The visitors broke double digits by the 13th minute through six sources. Shane O'Meara swung over Waterford's first from a free on 22 minutes. Kerry went down the other end however and Clifford passed the ball unselfishly across to Ferdia O'Brien to slot home as they led by 1-13 to 0-1 at halfway.

O'Brien pounced for goal number two 26 seconds after the restart. A Brian Friel brace extended the margin to 21 points (2-16 to 0-1). Cathal Curran hit a consolation goal to the top corner for the hosts on 43 minutes. Waterford will meet Tipperary or Limerick in the play-offs.
