Clarke helps Down cruise

New Down manager James McCartan got his side off to an winning start with this 12-point victory over a poor Queens side in the Dr McKenna Cup game in Pairc Esler on Saturday.

Paul McComiskey and Conor Garvey helped steer Down into a 0-9 to 0-6 half-time lead before returning Australian Rules player Martin Clarke capped a superb display with a second-half penalty goal as the home side cruised.
