Clarke hails McGeeney
Jamie Clarke said the prospect of working with Kieran McGeeney was the carrot which has brought him back home to play with Armagh.
The Crossmaglen star spent three months in New York and Toronto but returned home within the last fortnight to join county training.
"I had planned to stay there until after Christmas but when it was confirmed that Kieran was coming in, it was a 'when' and not an 'if' about me coming back," he said at last night's launch of the Dr McKenna Cup in Belfast.
Elsewhere, new Fermanagh boss Peter McGrath has persuaded full-forward Seamus Quigley to join his new panel.
Quigley parted company with Peter Canavan's panel last season after reportedly being dropped by for missing training.
