This year's All-Ireland football championship was the 10th which involved the qualifiers, while hurling completed its 14th season under a format which allows re-entry to the championship and which saw Tipperary bounce back from their Munster SHC defeat to Cork in May to capture All-Ireland glory in September.

But are the current formats the best available? Are they serving Gaelic football and hurling to the maximum? Is there a better way? We want your views. Do you have a system which would make for fairer, more exciting, more streamlined championships?

If so, let us know. We're inviting suggestions for alternative systems in football and/or hurling. Please keep them as short and as simple as possible. It's your chance to have a say on an issue which continues to provoke controversy.
