Rory Gallagher was happy to just bank the points and move on after claiming his first league win as Fermanagh manager amidst a flurry of cards at Brewster Park yesterday.

Both sides finished with 13 men after a chaotic end to the game, with all the dismissals coming in the last 25 minutes - Fermanagh captain Ryan Jones the first to go for an off-the-ball strike.

At that stage the home side were leading 3-6 to 1-3, Conal Jones having just added to Seamus Quigley's two first-half goals (Fermanagh led 2-4 to 0-3 at the break), while Wexford midfielder Nick Doyle nailed a 44th-minute goal for the visitors.

Tiernan Rossiter slipped home Wexford's second goal on 62 minutes, but three minutes later got sent off on a second yellow.

An ugly brawl near the Fermanagh dugout spiralled out of control and at the end of it Brian Malone was given a straight red and Fermanagh assistant boss Ryan McMenamin was banished from the dugout.

Near the end of five minutes of stoppage time Sean Quigley was given a black card, which also reduced Fermanagh to 13 players, having used all their substitutes.
