Despite a late Wicklow rally, goals in either half from Cian Callan allowed Louth book their place in the Leinster JFC semi-final against Meath in a fortnight's time.

Louth were always in command in Aughrim once full-forward Pádraig Moley palmed to the net in the eighth minute. Wicklow scored a goal against the run of play when Pádraig Byrne punched to net after a blocked shot from his corner-back Andy Maher that went short.

The composure of Callan, who was on the senior panel up until recently, illustrated his ability to operate at a higher level, and he soon ghosted in his first goal. Wicklow's Pádraig Kelly and impressive Brian Walsh made it 2-7 to 1-5 at the break.

Barry O'Hare found the net early in the half from the penalty spot for Louth and Callan rounded off his display with a tie-clinching goal.
