Butler lights up Gallen
Leinster champions Gallen CS, Ferbane produced an awesome attacking display to easily dispose of Coachford CS at Clonmel.
The sides were deadlocked at half-time on 1-4 each, but the Offaly school took off on the resumption, with their goal-scoring ability a standout feature.
Full-forward Michael Butler was the star of the show with a goal in each half – he was an integral part of all that was good about his side's play.
Colin Kenny lorded the midfield area, and hard-working performances from the likes of Brian McEvoy and Dean Hogan eased Gallen into the final. Second-half goals from Butler, Hogan (two) and McEvoy put the icing on the cake – the Ferbane boys move on to face Warrenpoint of Down in the final.
