GAA fans irate as Roscommon v Dublin venue changed at late notice
There has been a late change of venue for today's Division One clash between Roscommon and Dublin, and it has made people very unhappy.
The pitch at Dr Hyde Park is waterlogged, and the Roscommon County Board has opted to play the fixture in Carrick-on-Shannon at 2pm instead. However, according to many journalists, the only train to Roscommon from Dublin left at 8am this morning, so it will leave fans needing to organise further travel to get to the match.
Unsurprisingly, the decision to move the game angered many, especially since it was evident after last weekend's soaked encounter between Roscommon and Mayo that the pitch would likely be unplayable.
Many fans and media members took to Twitter to express their dismay at the turn of events, particularly focusing on their ire on the Roscommon County Board.
UPDATE: Roscommon GAA is now providing a free bus transfer from Roscommon to Carrick-on-Shannon for fans who travelled down for the game.

Might Roscommon make available a certain bus to ferry stranded Dublin supporters to Carrick-on-Shannon?— John Fogarty (@JohnFogartyIrl) April 3, 2016
For a full year, the Roscommon county board knew they had the Dubs coming and still couldn't get the Hyde ready. Shambles.— Malachy Clerkin (@MalachyClerkin) April 3, 2016
