A late Padraig Doyle goal sealed victory for Wicklow in Arklow.

Kildare had just pulled level and looked likely winners when Wicklow won a free in their own half.

Midfielder Diarmuid Masterson stepped up to launch it into the danger zone and Doyle pulled on the ball to strike it past Paddy McKenna in the Kildare goal.

Kildare bagged a late score from the impressive Gerry Keegan, who finished with 14 points, 10 from frees, but time was against the Lilywhites and Wicklow held on to secure a first victory under manager Jonathan 'Bosco' O'Neill.
