Did Fermanagh provide us with the GAA Tweet of the Year last night?
There have been very good excuses for missing the start of a final in the past but this was a particularly agricultural excuse.
The person in charge of the Fermanagh GAA account apologised for missing the start of Division One league final between Ederney and Devenish because he was 'calving a cow'.
Apologies, cow calved and just into game now. 23 mins played, SFL Div 1 Final - Devenish 0-6 v Ederney 1-4 pic.twitter.com/5H7gAXzqoh— Fermanagh GAA (@FermanaghGAA) October 14, 2017
It's an unusual time of the year for calving ( the poor creature will be friesian... sorry!).
The tweet prompted a raft of retweets and replies.
