The Club Players Association (CPA) has made a number of proposals to the GAA ahead of the unveiling of the association's master fixtures plan for 2018 later this month.

A four-man CPA panel met with the Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) and raised concerns around the changes to the GAA calendar following February's Congress and the Special Congress last month.

The CPA want to see designated periods solely for club fixtures across all 32 counties, with April kept exclusively for clubs, and December left free of both inter-county and club fixtures.

Also on their wish list is the establishment of a central fixtures control system to govern county boards, and that inter-county and club competitions be completed within the calendar year.
