GAELIC GAMES : Limerick too strong

LIMERICK 2-15 LAOIS 1-9 All-Ireland SHC Qualifier JOE McKENNA'S Limerick were pushed to the limit in this Guinness All-Ireland SHC Qualifier clash at O'Moore Park last night.

An injury-time goal from sub Pat Kirby put the gloss on the final scoreline.

In the second half Limerick, with TJ Ryan unerring from frees, took control.

Laois struck the opening goal in the 15th minute when James Young blasted a 20-metres free to the net but just on half-time Ollie Moran goaled to give his side a 1-8 to 1-5 interval lead.
