Walsh double for Exiles

LONDON ended their campaign on a high note with a fruitful trip to Athleague.

The visitors were always in control and two first-half goals from Kevin Walsh and Shane Egan laid the platform for victory.

Points from Martin Finn, Colm Quinn and Henry Vaughan also aided Eamon Phelan side's quest for supremacy. Gerry Fallon did find the net for Roscommon, but his side went in 2-11 to 1-6 down at the break.

Roscommon rallied at the start of the second half with three points from Micheal Kelly, Kevin Conneely and Johnny Coyne, but Walsh's second goal in the 49th minute killed off the game as a contest. Fallon netted once again from a free in injury-time to grab some consolation for the Rossies.
