TRALEE held off a rousing comeback at Fitzgerald Stadium to advance to the semi-finals.
With the aid of the breeze, the Kerry school took an 0-8 to 0-2 interval advantage, with Kingdom minor hopeful Niall Sheehy to the fore.
Graham Sheehan and Mark O'Connor led the Rochestown fightback in the second half as they clawed the deficit back to 0-10 to 0-8 with five minutes to go.
However, Jake Moran finished off a superb counter-attack, ending a 15-minute scoring drought for Tralee.
Sheehan brought the margin back to two with a minute left, but Rochestown couldn't find a winning goal to complete their comeback.
