The Magners League returned this weekend, a competition that traditionally has been good to the Irish provinces and, more specifically, Leinster and Munster.
However, this could be Ulster's year to make their mark. They have made some eye-catching signings in Springboks Ruan Pienaar, Johann Muller and Pedrie Wannenburg, so 11/5 for a top-four finish looks very achievable.
At 2/9, Leinster are no value for a top-four finish. With a World Cup on the horizon, the availability (or lack thereof) of new coach Joe Schmidt's international contingent will make life difficult.
Of the team that started on Friday night, only Jamie Heaslip, Nathan Hines and possibly Sean O'Brien would make the province's first-choice side in those positions.
