O'Connor stars as Kenmare prove too hot for Cappamore


Kenmare Shamrocks will represent Munster in the All-Ireland JFC after securing an impressive victory over Limerick kingpins Cappamore in Mallow.

The Kingdom side were sensational going forward, with DJ Brennan, Paul O'Connor and Stephen O'Brien bagging 17 points between them, while Shane Dalton and Jimmy Wharton dominated midfield. Cappamore's Andy Murphy and John Ryan responded for the Limerick men – grabbing a goal apiece either side of the interval, but it was not enough.

Scorers – Kenmare: P O'Connor 0-10 (5f), S O'Brien 0-4, DJ Brennan 0-3, A O'Leary, M Crowley, K O'Sullivan 0-1 each.

Cappamore: A Murphy 1-5 (2f), J Ryan 1-1, T O'Donoghue, J O'Donnell 0-1 each.
