O'Callaghan brace seals title

Kerry 3-17 Clare 3-7 Munster JFC final

David O'Callaghan bagged two goals inside a minute as Kerry came from behind to land the title at Miltown Malbay.

The Kingdom upped their game after trailing by a point at the break -- 2-5 to 1-7 -- and had taken control before Clare lost Darren Hickey to a second yellow card on 54 minutes.

Clare took the initiative and grabbed goals in the 12th and 21st minutes through Noel Downes and Killian Malone.

But a strong surge late in the half from the visitors yielded a goal from Paul O'Donoghue in the 27th minute and points from Conor Cox and Mike O'Donoghue to close the gap.

Kerry dominated on the resumption, and O'Callaghan's quickfire goals and some well-taken points secured the crown, despite David Ryan's late consolation goal.
