O Caomhanaigh stars

The introduction of Tomas O Caomhanaigh, as well as four second-half points by Eanna O Conchuir, were the key factors as Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne overcame De La Salle, Macroom in Killarney yesterday.

After a dour first half, the Kerry school took a one-point lead in at the break -- 0-4 to 0-3 -- before three unanswered points at the start of the second half left Macroom chasing the game.

The winners were strong in defence, with Paidi O Se's son Padraig leading the way, and a point-blank save by Chorca Dhuibhne 'keeper Gavin O Cur-rain from Darren Kelly in the final minute denied Macroom any hopes of a dramatic late comeback.

Chorca Dhuibhne will now face reigning champions St Brendan College Killarney in the semi-final on February 13.
