McIver quick off the mark to tee up Ballinderry

Ballinderry shamrocks 1-11 Dromore 0-12

Ulster Club SFC quarter-finals

Ballinderry are set for another meeting with arch-rivals Crossmaglen after edging out Tyrone champions Dromore in a thrilling clash at Healy Park.

Michael McIver, brother of Dromore manager Paul, was the Shamrocks hero, with his goal after just 32 seconds proving the difference between the sides.

Conleith Gilligan's accuracy was another vital component in the Derry side's armoury. He shot six classy points to steer the Shamrocks to another semi-final.

After conceding the goal, Dromore recovered their composure and set about establishing a foothold in midfield.

But Ballinderry boss Martin McKinless moved Enda Muldoon to midfield and he played a major part in turning the tide. The Derry star was superb, steadying the ship and helping the Shamrocks to a 1-6 to 0-7 interval lead.

Eoin McCusker almost single-handedly led Dromore's revival, firing over his seventh point to narrow the gap to two, but he lacked the support he needed.

Both sides finished with 14 men, Ballinderry's Martin Harney picking up a second yellow and Dromore substitute Adrian McCaffrey receiving a straight red.
