McCurry gets Tyrone cruising

Tyrone 0-12 Donegal 0-6

Tyrone coasted to a double-scores win over Donegal at Healy Park last night to set up a semi-final clash with Down.

The Red Hands dominated for most of the game, with the visitors failing to turn a second-half flourish into scores.

Darren McCurry landed four excellent points, three from play, as Tyrone established control, with Richard Donnelly also notching a couple.

Dermot Molloy opened Donegal's account with a fisted effort in the 28th minute, followed by a superb long-range effort from Paddy McBrearty, but at the halfway stage, the Red Hands led by 0-7 to 0-2.

The introduction of Luke Keeney helped Donegal swing the midfield battle in Donegal's favour and points from McBrearty and a McGarvey '45' narrowed the gap to four points.

However, Tommy Canavan landed a long-range effort to ensure the win.
